Uwell Caliburn G Pod Starter Kit Review

Design and Build Quality

It makes logical sense not to make too many changes to a design everyone likes. In order to differentiate the Caliburn G from the original, Uwell has made a few minor design adjustments, nothing too significant.

Even though the Caliburn G is slightly shorter, wider, and thicker than the original, it is still a long and slender device. This “vape pen” design is incredibly convenient because it fits neatly and easily into a jacket or jeans pocket. The Caliburn G is built of a lightweight zinc alloy.

The entire front and back face of the G is covered with the ribbed patterns seen on the original’s sides. These lines offer the typically slick device some traction and a pleasant aesthetic appearance. Caliburn is discreetly printed on the device’s front side, and an LED indication is located right beneath it.

The firing button has grown in size from the original and is surrounded by a ring of bronze accents. The Caliburn G has a haptic and responsive button when pressed, but it also has draw-activated fire, which allows you to just draw on the mouthpiece to vape.

This pod clicks into place as opposed to the original Caliburn pod, which was attached via magnets. The new Caliburn G interchangeable coils from Uwell fit the Caliburn G. The Caliburn G takes Uwell’s new Caliburn G replaceable coils. You can easily examine how much e-liquid is left in the Caliburn G once the pod is fitted thanks to windows on the side. The pods’ bottom halves are entirely clear and have a capacity of 2 ml for e-liquid.

The Caliburn G uses replaceable coils in place of replaceable pods. These are new “Caliburn G Series Coils” made specifically for it. You must align the flat side of the coil with the flat notch on the bottom of the pod for them to fit into the bottom of the pod; otherwise, it will not fit.

There are two 0.8ohm Caliburn G Series Coils in the box. Additionally, 1.0ohm coils can be purchased separately.

Battery Life

There is a Type-C charging port on the Caliburn G. This takes 40–45 minutes to fully charge the Caliburn G using a Type-C cable and power block. The fact that the device can be fully charged in under 45 minutes is quite essential and greatly increases its usability. You may use it as it charges as well, ensuring that you never completely go without a vape.

The Caliburn G requires a little bit more power than the original (15W vs. 11W max. output); however, this is balanced out by the bigger battery (690mAh vs. 520mAh). You can anticipate vaping between one and a half and two complete pods of e-liquid before needing to recharge.
